We have received some questions and feedback regarding the use of the analogue audio input/output on the Solvo. We would like to share with you the most common questions and answers.
Q: Is the microphone input a Stereo or Mono-minijack connection?
A: It is a standard 3.5mm stereo mini-jack connection
Q: What is the level of the microphone input, and does it support microphone phantom power?
A: It is a standard line-level input and it doesn't support microphone level and phantom power. For that purpose, a level converter or mixer is needed, before connecting to Solvo.
Q: The computers operating system doesn't detect that there is something connected to the microphone connection, so no input device shows up in Windows/MacOS?
A: Please connect the mini-jack connections to the Solvo input/output before connecting power to the Solvo. Connecting them while powered, can result in incorrect behavior.
Q: What is the behavior of the Solvo audio output with mini-jack connected or disconnected?
A: When mini-jack connection is disconnected from Solvo audio out, then Solvo will forward the audio from the USB connected PC, to the HDMI output.
When mini-jack connection is connected to Solvo audio out, then Solvo will forward the audio from the USB connected PC, to the analogue audio output.
