Google Chrome and Firefox unable to load GUI

Updates from Google and Firefox have done that we no longer are able to use the browser cache as usual.

Therefore it is not possible to load our graphical user interface and there is no apparant fix for this from Google and Firefox.

The only way to workaround this is to use another browser, e.g. Internet Explorer, Edge or similar.

We are seeing this on mobile device as well, and we have not found a browser which is not effected by the update from Google. On Android phones it is from Google Chrome version 71.x.xxxx.xx and forward.

Currently there are a few options:

  • Uninstall the updates from the Google Chrome app and of course not update the app in the future or at least until we have a working fix.
  • After installing edge and set it to standartbrowser it’s important to deactivate the Chrome browser, otherwise the GUI might not load on Edge!

Another workaround is to use an iOS device or one of the Neets Touch Panels.

We do not at this point have a overview on the situation, but we will start investigating in the beginning of 2019.
