Things to keep in mind when implementing Neets Central Control

So, what can it do for me?

This document can help you clarify what to take into account to ensure easy implementation of Neets Central Control.

So, what do I need to know?

If you follow the steps below, your system will be well prepared for the implementation of Neets Central Control into the setup. When you take these points below into account, you will not need to go back and make big alterations in the project file, should your customer choose to implement Central Control at a later point!

Things to consider:

Labels in Project Designer

It is important to add text in assigned fields; this information will appear in Central Control.

Logos, symbols and images will not appear in Neets Central Control.

A workaround if you want to use symbols on your label is to keep the text box and change font color to white. Then place your symbols on top of it.

Name and location - Basic information like room number, floor level etc.

DHCP/fixed IP

If you are using DHCP, we recommend using a MAC specific IP address. If IP addresses for some reason should change then Neets Central Control needs to be reconfigured.

Include your customers IT department in this decision process.

Device driver with feedback for lamp/filter times

If your device support feedback with lamp and filter information, we recommend using it

Select lamp/filter hours on one device

When configuring your project you have to select from which device you want information. It is only possible to receive this information from one projector.

Internal counter in Neets panel or real time from projector.

In every Neets panel there is a counter, which starts running whenever the panel sends a power on command. Even if the projector does not support this type of feedback, the control system will do an internal count instead.

Neets Central Control receives this count value if you have not selected which device to receive lamp/filter information form, or if your device does not support that type of feedback information
